Graduating from Southampton University in 1996, Dr. Zahid Hassan has a strong background in plastic surgery, through extensive work at five esteemed medical centres across the UK spanning over 15 years.
His has a higher doctorate (MD) from Manchester University, earned through groundbreaking research in wound healing. Furthering his specialisation, Dr. Zahid Hassan completed rigorous training in the Mersey region, culminating in the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) in 2012 and subsequently earning the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2013, solidifying his registration on the specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
During his higher plastic surgical training, Dr. Hassan completed prestigious fellowships in aesthetics and hand surgery across Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds. In 2014, he assumed the esteemed role of Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at Whiston Hospital, Liverpool, where he continues to offer a diverse range of cosmetic surgical procedures and demonstrates exceptional proficiency in hand surgery, holding the British Diploma in Hand Surgery since 2015.
Dr. Hassan's scholarly contributions are considerable, with over 20 publications in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and numerous presentations at national and international conferences.
Recognised as a dedicated educator, Dr. Hassan actively participates in training fellow surgeons and imparts his expertise through Plastic Surgery Skills Courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
