Brow lift before and after

Your brow lift journey
Free No Obligation Consultation
During your consultation the surgeon will discuss your options and suitability. Most importantly a facial exam will take place and the surgeon will have a conversation about the techniques that can be used to get your desired result.
You'll go through what to expect from surgery, the risks involved and what your recovery will look like. They will also be on hand to answer as many questions as you’d like.
Pre-Op assessment
If you are having any worries in the lead up to your brow lift, you needn’t be concerned as before surgery we will invite you into the clinic so that a nurse can perform a series of checks to make sure you are medically fit for the surgery.
The health check is very simple and will involve an MRSA check and possibly a blood and urine test. A nurse or surgeon will then take photos of your face before the brow lift for recording purposes.
Following these checks, you will be able to speak with the nurse about how to prepare for surgery, the timeline of what will happen and get answers to any concerns about side effects.
Surgery
On the day of surgery you will arrive at our state of the art hospital and be shown to your en-suite room, so that you can settle in and prepare. The surgeon and nurse will be in constant contact with you so that your stay is as comfortable as possible.
During the surgeon’s visit, you will once again be asked for your consent and a pre-surgical update will be given to you so that you feel informed and confident about the upcoming procedure.
You will then proceed to theatre and then be sedated with a local or general anaesthetic, the surgeon will perform the brow surgery by creating a series of small incisions. The operation takes between one and two hours.
Post-Surgery
Following surgery, you will have to wear bandaging on your forehead for the next 3 days and spend an evening in the hospital.
You may suffer swelling in your forehead and upper eyelid area.
We will ask you to come in and see a surgeon or nurse one, two and six weeks after the surgery so that we are up to date on your progress. We will also provide you with pain relief medication to help combat your discomfort.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Our expert team are always hand to help, advise and arrange appointments with our specialist consultants.
What is a brow lift and how does it work?
A brow lift (forehead lift) is a cosmetic procedure that elevates the brow and smooths forehead lines to create a more youthful, refreshed appearance. It involves repositioning muscles and soft tissue, and removing excess skin.
Who is a good candidate for brow lift surgery?
A good candidate is often someone with sagging brows, heavy upper eyelids, or deep forehead lines who is in good health, has realistic expectations, and wants a long-lasting, natural result.
What are the different types of brow lift techniques?
Common techniques include endoscopic brow lift (minimally invasive with small incisions), coronal brow lift, and temporal brow lift. Your surgeon will recommend the best approach for your anatomy and goals.
Is brow lift surgery painful?
Most patients experience mild discomfort after surgery, which is manageable with prescribed pain relief. The procedure itself is usually performed under anaesthesia to ensure comfort.
What is the recovery process like after a brow lift?
Recovery usually involves swelling and bruising for the first week, with most patients returning to normal activities after 7–10 days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for several weeks.
When will I see the results of my brow lift?
You’ll notice improvement as swelling settles, with near-final results visible after 4-6 weeks and further refinement over several months.
Are brow lift results permanent?
Results are long-lasting, often maintaining a youthful brow position for many years, though natural ageing continues over time.
Can brow lift be combined with other procedures?
Yes-brow lift surgery is commonly combined with upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), facelift or other facial rejuvenation procedures for more comprehensive results.
What are the risks and complications of brow lift surgery?
As with any surgery, possible risks include infection, bleeding, numbness, scarring, and asymmetry. Choosing an experienced surgeon helps minimise these.
