Dr Sof is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC), with over 20 years of experience in the field - 10 years as a consultant and a further 10 years in various training positions. He specialises in cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, face, eyes, and ear.
A graduate of the University of Nottingham (2001), he trained in Plastic Surgery in the North West of England, completing specialist fellowships in post-cancer reconstruction of the face, breast, body, skin, and gynaecological reconstruction. He also undertook a prestigious UK national fellowship in cosmetic surgery, working alongside leading figures in the field. He currently holds a substantive NHS Consultant position at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, home to one of the region’s leading plastic surgery departments.
Dr Sof is a full member of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons), the UK’s recognised national bodies for aesthetic and plastic surgery.
Dedicated to education and patient safety, he has served as the Education Lead for Plastic Surgery at Health Education North West England, playing a key role in training future plastic surgeons. He has also contributed to national plastic and cosmetic surgery initiatives alongside the Department of Health and other professional bodies to improve standards and patient safety in the UK.
In addition, Dr Sof has organised major industry events such as BAAPS National North West Cosmetic Training Days, published widely in plastic surgery journals, and presented his research at national and international conferences. His practice is built on a commitment to patient safety, clear communication, advanced technology in healthcare, minimally invasive techniques, and delivering high-quality outcomes with the patient at the centre of his care.
