Dr Haris Ahmed

Dr Haris Ahmed has worked as a consultant for over 8 years, amassing valuable clinical experience in the management of a variety of endocrine and general medicine disorders. He has written several guidelines and pathways to patient management, has presented papers in national and international conferences, and has several publications in peer-reviewed journals.

In addition, he has been a consultant representative in the West Cheshire Area Prescribing Committee (APC) panel, working towards introducing new medicines and technologies for the benefit of his patients' health.

Throughout an extensive clinical career, Dr Haris Ahmed has amassed well over 50,000 patient-hours experience, with patients with endocrine and general medicine disorders, both in the outpatient and inpatient setting since achieving his certification of clinical training (CCT). This has led to a comprehensive understanding of disease pathophysiology and an enhanced ability to unravel challenging disease patterns, and suggest suitable solutions.

Dr Haris Ahmed believes in providing personalised care to his patients, as he values the principles of shared decision making, empowering patients for self-care by sharing knowledge, and providing support/care in keeping with the needs, preferences and circumstances of the individual.
