About
Dr McAndrew is a chartered clinical psychologist with the British Psychological Society and an Associate Fellow. She is also a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, a Registered European Psychologist, and a Chartered Scientist with the British Science Council.
Dr McAndrew qualified in 1997 and has 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults providing psychological assessments and therapies in a range of psychological and emotional problems. She is both a child and adult clinical psychologist and can provide assessments across the age range and in a range of disorders including developmental disorders (ADHD; ASD etc.), learning disabilities, behavioural problems, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, pre-surgical assessments and so on.
She uses a combination of theories and techniques to meet the specific needs of her clients. These can include individual therapy, play therapy, couple therapy, family therapy, group therapy, functional behavioural analysis, behaviour modification, relaxation & meditation, and trauma relief methods.
Dr McAndrew has an MSc in Nutrition as well as her MBA. She is also trained in a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT; DBT and EMDR. McAndrew is an experiences expert witness in England & Wales and Ireland and has given evidence in a range of cases including family law (Private and Public); personal injury cases and criminal law and victim impact reports.
