Mr Prasad is a highly experienced Consultant Breast Oncoplastic and Aesthetic Surgeon, specialising in Breast Enlargement, as well as breast disease, reconstructive, and general breast surgery. With extensive expertise spanning over three decades, he has worked at leading hospitals in the UK and abroad, providing exceptional care to his patients.
Mr Prasad completed his basic and higher surgical training in Manchester Hospitals and specialised as a Registrar in General Surgery with a subspecialty focus on breast and reconstructive surgery at The Christie and Wythenshawe Hospital. In July 2006, he was appointed as a Consultant General Surgeon at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, where he has played a key role in delivering outstanding breast care services.
Dedicated to early breast cancer detection and advanced reconstructive techniques post-mastectomy, Mr Prasad is a member of the Network Breast Cancer Site-Specific Group of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network. His commitment to excellence has contributed to the Breast Unit consistently meeting access targets, with suspected breast cancer referrals seen within two weeks.
Mr Prasad is widely published in medical literature and has presented numerous papers at scientific meetings. Outside of his clinical work, he has a keen interest in DIY and media advocacy, actively working to raise breast cancer awareness among ethnic minority communities.
