Mr Topps is a highly experienced Consultant Breast Oncoplastic and Aesthetic Surgeon, with expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Utilising the latest surgical techniques, he is dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for his patients.
He completed his medical studies at Cambridge University, where he earned a master’s degree, and at University College London. His extensive surgical training took place across London, the South West of England, and Manchester, including a Fellowship in MS (Oncoplastic Breast Surgery). His qualifications include a Master of Surgery degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery - the highest European qualification in the field - alongside PgCert (Medical Education), FRCS, MA (Cantab), and MBBS.
Passionate about education, he is a General Medical Council-recognised trainer and plays a key role in mentoring future surgeons. He holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education and serves as the expert breast tutor at the University of Central Lancashire Medical School. Additionally, he regularly lectures on the University of Salford Advanced Medical Imaging Programme and contributes to the North West School of Surgery Higher Surgical Training Programme.
A respected authority in breast surgery, Mr Topps has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at national and international conferences. His expertise is recognised through invitations to serve on multiple journal editorial boards.
