What is breast reduction?
If you have large breasts and you’re suffering from back, neck or shoulder pain, you may choose to undergo breast reduction surgery, which will also help you to achieve a breast size more suitable to your frame.
If you have overly large breasts you might find that you struggle with certain activities such as exercise or even climbing the stairs and can't find clothes that fit you properly. We understand that this causes distress and can have an impact your self-esteem and confidence. After breast reduction surgery, you’ll be able to exercise more freely, dress in the outfits you want to, and the pain and discomfort should disappear as a result of smaller, lighter breasts.
During a free consultation at one of our clinics in Manchester, Liverpool or Newton-Le-Willows, you can discuss what you're hoping to achieve from breast reduction surgery with your chosen surgeon as well as asking any questions about the procedure. At Pall Mall Cosmetics you’re in safe hands - our surgeons have performed thousands of breast reduction procedures and we also have a full aftercare programme for complete peace of mind.

What results can I expect from breast reduction?
Your surgeon will advise the best technique to achieve your desired result. The changes to your breasts will be apparent straight away, but it will take a few months for the swelling to go down completely. The results are permanent, although the breasts can change due to aging, weight gain or weight loss.
“My whole experience has been amazing.”
I’ve been waiting ten years to have breast reduction surgery. My friend recommended Pall Mall and after my consultation with Mr Prasad my mind was made up that I wanted to go ahead. My whole experience from start to finish has been amazing and I finally feel happy with my body. I’m only one week post-op but I already know this procedure will be life changing for me!

What happens during
breast reduction surgery?
From your first call or email, we’re here to look after you. Whether you're still researching about breast reduction surgery and would like more information, or you're ready to meet a surgeon to see what results you can achieve, our team of patient co-ordiantors are here to help.
If you are keen to learn more and see what Pall Mall can do for you, we will arrange a consultation with a surgeon that lasts between 20-45 minutes. During this time your surgeon will examine your chest and discuss the various options you can take, such as the different types of surgery. Your surgeon can also talk you through recovery and aftercare, so make sure you ask all the questions you want.
Before your surgery takes place, you will be asked to attend a pre-operative assessment. Thre's nothing to worry about here as the surgeon or nurse will just want to check your overall health to make sure there aren't any unforeseen issues.
The appointment will check for MRSA and you may need to undergo a blood and urine test. One of the primary parts of the pre-assessment will be taking photos of your chest so that we have a medical record before the surgery goes ahead. Make sure you ask the Nurse any questions so she can put you at ease before the surgery.
Once you've arrived at our private hospital and been made comfortable in your beautiful en-suite room, you will be prepped for the surgery which can take between 1.5 hours and 3 hours. There are a number of different surgeries that you can undergo for breast reduction however all follow a similar pattern with excess skin and fat being removed whilst the nipples are repositioned.
The most common surgery is the anchor type or inverted T reduction. Scarring will occur despite the method, however, your surgeon will discuss this with you. It's important to note that the scars will not be visible when wearing everyday clothing.
We require patients to stay in the hospital for 1-2 days after the surgery so we can keep an eye on you and answer any concerns you may have post-surgery. We will then keep in touch and you will visit the clinic 1, 2 and 6 weeks after the surgery to make sure everything is healing well.
You'll be in the best hands for your aftercare from Breast Reduction surgery with Pall Mall. We keep in contact your throughout your journey and you'll be able to reach a member of staff 24/7 if you have any concerns.
We'd suggest taking some time off work to recover, but you will be provided with post-operative pain killers and instructions on how to manage your dressings or stitches.
