Amy, aged 31 from Liverpool, underwent our Allurion Weight Loss Balloon procedure in March 2023.

Talking about the day of her placement, Amy said: “My Allurion Weight Loss Balloon placement took place at Pall Mall’s private hospital in Newton-le-Willows. Mr Bassi, who carried out my procedure was fantastic from start to finish, I knew with him I was in safe hands.

“The procedure only took around 20 minutes, so I was back home resting within a couple of hours. I didn’t feel or be sick after the placement, I just spent a lot of time resting and napping.

“For the first couple of days, I was mainly in bed. I spent my time relaxing, drinking lots of water and chicken bone broth from my fabulous Dietician Martha’s recipe.

“I found the first couple of weeks adjusting quite tough, my main piece of advice would be to get rid of any unhealthy food from your house prior to your placement. If it’s not in the house, you can’t eat it!

Summarising her Allurion Weight Loss Balloon journey so far, Amy said: “I’m eight weeks post insertion and I have already lost nearly three stone!

“Over the 16-weeks I have lost 5 and a half stone and I feel amazing! This procedure has honestly changed my life, my habits and created a new, stronger and healthier version of myself.”
